Richard Russo

Pulitzer Prize for Fiction Winner

Richard Russo is the author of eight novels, two collections of short stories, and Elsewhere, a memoir. In 2002, he received the Pulitzer Prize for Empire Falls, which was also adapted into an HBO mini-series starring Paul Newman, Ed Harris, Phillip Seymour Hoffman, and Helen Hunt. Russo earned a bachelor’s degree, a master’s in fine arts, and Ph.D. from the University of Arizona. He has two daughters and lives with his wife in Camden, Maine.
