"This was my first writing conference and it totally blew me away! I made some awesome friends, got some great feedback from agents, and really just had so much fun. I can't wait for next year!" – 2016 Attendee – Marielle O.”
One of the most exciting developments those of us at WD have gotten to witness over the past few Writer’s Digest Annual Conferences is the true community that has begun to spring up among attendees, new and returning alike. Every year, the circle gets a bit bigger and we want you to be a part of it this year.
We give you the tools—space to meet, a private corner of the web, interesting industry types to meet and free drinks!—but it’s really the attendees who are making this happen. Because if you’re only thinking of the conference as a place to hone your writing skills, you’re not considering everything it could mean for your writing career. Here’s what people tell us the conference has meant to them:
- Real-world friendships
- Writing partnerships established
- Critique groups formed
- Long-distance social media connections
- The opportunity to pitch to agents and editors
- The chance to live the writer’s life for at least one fun-filled weekend
The WD Conference is where you can spend time with your tribe, like-minded writers and maybe lifelong friends. Writers work alone, but everyone needs support. Start building your support system today!
Stay connected on the WDC attendee-only Facebook page, before, during and after the conference!
