Revealing Character Through Setting

Too often, writers, even experienced writers, see describing setting merely as an opportunity to sketch in the appearance of a location. That is wasting much of setting's potential! This workshop will show writers how to reveal character through setting, via both the environment the character creates for herself, and her reaction to the settings she finds herself in. Properly used, setting can reveal a lot about viewpoint characters and about any character whose setting is being described. Interactive with numerous examples to dissect/discuss.
