Jeff Gomez, CEO of Starlight Runner Entertainment, is a leading expert in the fields of brand narrative, story world development, creative franchise design, and transmedia storytelling. He specializes in the expansion of entertainment properties, premium brands, and socio-political themes into highly successful multi-platform communications and international campaigns.
Jeff also develops the story worlds of films, TV shows, videogames, toys, books, comics, apps, virtual reality projects, and theme park attractions. As a transmedia producer he has worked on Disney’s Pirates of the Caribbean, James Cameron’s Avatar, Hasbro’s Transformers, Sony Pictures’ Spider-Man and Men in Black, Microsoft’s Halo, and Coca-Cola’s Happiness Factory.
Jeff started his career as an editor for Valiant Comics in the early 1990s, and was responsible for extending superhero titles like Turok, Dinosaur Hunter into multiplatform franchises, including Nintendo videogames, Playmates toys, prose fiction, and specialized web sites. He wrote and edited comic books and videogames based on the hugely successful Magic: The Gathering trading card game, and he created the story world of Hot Wheels, which was featured in various animated series and an array of transmedia content from Mattel.
Jeff is now overseeing the upcoming launch of original shared universes as books and graphic novels through his Starlight Runner Worlds publishing endeavor.
