Breakfast with the Stars
"The Editor Will See You Now."
Saturday, September 19, 4:00 pm - 5:30 pm
Sunday, September 20, 1:30 - 3:00 pm
Every Writer's Digest Conference attendee will get a 15-minute appointment with our team of editors from Writer's Digest, or one of our other expert writing editors, to discuss a book proposal or idea, query letter, or get impressions on an already published book. You'll get immediate feedback, suggestions for your next steps and you'll come away with the information you need to succeed in the publishing world.
Bring a 1-page query, a non-fiction book proposal (up to 50 pages), self-published book or e-book with you to the conference. All critique appoints will be made on-site and your submission will be reviewed on-site.
You Could Be Selected to Meet With an Agent!
We are no longer accepting entries for the one-on-one agent meeting. All attendees who registered and submitted a query, proposal, or self-published book by September 1 are being considered. All other attendees will still receive the one-on-one editor meeting.
Writers Digest editors will review the early submissions and choose 10 based on the professionalism of the material, the commercial appeal of the work and its likelihood to be traditionally published through a New York house. Those writers will receive a consultation with a New-York based agent at the conference, in addition to a critique with the Writer’s Digest editor.
This opportunity to meet with an agent is only available to writers who registered and submitted materials to the Writer’s Digest office by September 1.
