THE WAREHOUSE is about a world in which an Amazon-like company takes over the economy. THE PARADOX HOTEL is about a hotel for time travelers. My past two novels have been “big idea” novels that came from small places, and took time to develop into workable stories. I’ll walk through the process of taking a strong elevator pitch and developing it into a story that works—one that’s rooted in strong characters, a strong sense of place, says something valuable, and doesn’t overwhelm the reader.
