MAX SINSHEIMER

Max Sinsheimer represents a wide range of adult nonfiction, with a particular interest in popular science, history, biography, food and cookery, (light) true crime, adventure narratives, and social and environmental issues. Prior to founding his DC-based agency, Sinsheimer Literary, LLC, Max oversaw Oxford University Press’s influential food and drink Companion series, which has won or been nominated for numerous James Beard, IACP, Gourmand, and other food writing awards. He retains a soft spot for academics who can write for general audiences and enjoys working with journalists and subject experts of many stripes. Max has a BA from Middlebury College and an MA from Duke University. In his free time, he plays an unhealthy amount of online chess.
