RYAN VAN CLEAVE

For more than 25 years, Dr. Ryan G. Van Cleave has taught creative writing at Clemson University, Florida State University, George Washington University, the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and elsewhere. Currently, Ryan serves as Head of Creative Writing at Ringling College of Art and Design.

Ryan is an award-winning magazine and freelance writer who has authored dozens of books, including Memoir Writing for Dummies; Writing Sci-Fi, Fantasy, & Horror for Dummies; The Weekend Book Proposal; and others. In addition to serving as Editor at Bushel & Peck Books, Ryan is The Picture Book Whisperer(TM)—a specialist who helps celebrities write and sell children’s books. 
Ryan also serves as a Contributing Editor for Writer’s Digest magazine.
